Immediate opening for a full-time Commercial Journeyman Pipefitter
Job Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled Commercial Journeyman Pipefitter to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety, precision, and quality workmanship.
The Commercial Journeyman Pipefitter will be responsible for the layout, assembly, installation, and maintenance of commercial piping systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical piping drawings, the ability to work independently or as part of a crew, and a dedication to maintaining a safe jobsite.
Responsibilities
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and isometric drawings to plan pipe system layouts. • Fabricate, assemble, and install piping systems using appropriate tools and techniques (e.g., welding, threading, grooving, brazing). • Install and test systems including but not limited to steam, hydronic, gas, and chilled water piping. • Perform rigging and alignment of piping components and support systems. • Adhere to OSHA and company safety procedures and participate in safety meetings. • Inspect and test installed systems for leaks and proper operation. • Communicate with foremen, project managers, and other trades to coordinate work on-site. • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used.
Qualifications
Valid Journeyman Pipefitter license in MN/WI 4+ years of pipefitting experience in commercial or industrial settings. Proficient with various piping systems: carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, PVC, and cast iron. Experience with threading, welding, grooving, and brazing preferred. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety. OSHA 10 or 30 certification (preferred). Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in a variety of construction environments (elevated, confined spaces, etc.).
