The Commercial Lines Account Executive & Marketing Specialist is responsible for managing and growing a book of business while leading the marketing and placement of new and renewal accounts. This hybrid role serves as a strategic advisor to clients, ensuring coverage aligns with their risk profile, while also driving carrier negotiations, program design, and market strategy.

Salary Range: $40000.00 - $65000.00 per year

Responsibilities

Client Management & Account Executive Functions

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned commercial clients
  • Develop strong client relationships through regular communication and risk consultations
  • Conduct coverage reviews and recommend appropriate insurance and risk management solutions
  • Oversee the renewal process, including strategy development, exposure analysis, and client presentations
  • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities within the existing book of business
  • Maintain high client retention through proactive service and relationship management

Marketing & Placement Functions

  • Market new and renewal business to insurance carriers to obtain competitive quotes and coverage options
  • Analyze submissions and structure programs to align with client needs and carrier appetites
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with underwriters
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with carrier representatives
  • Prepare and present marketing results and recommendations to clients
  • Stay informed on market trends, carrier changes, and industry developments
  • Strategically position accounts to maximize coverage and minimize cost


Collaboration & Operations

  • Work closely with account managers and service teams to ensure seamless account handling
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of applications, submissions, and policy documentation
  • Maintain compliance with agency procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Utilize agency management systems and CRM tools effectively
  • Support internal team development by sharing market knowledge and best practices

Requirements

Requirements/Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial lines insurance experience
  • Active Property & Casualty license required
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance coverages and markets
  • Proven experience in both client management and marketing/placement
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
