QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of Sales/Business Development experience in an insurance agency with proven track record of sales success.
  • Property & Casualty insurance license.
  • Strong knowledge of Commercial insurance.
  • Personable, highly motivated, and goal oriented.
  • Driven to achieve individual sales goals.
  • Superior communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Consultative, positive, and resourceful approach to dealing with prospects, clients, and associates.

  • Ability to deal with senior level management and have a top-level executive presence.
  • College degree preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties:

  • Be a productive member of a team, working with minimal supervision, while working 100% remotely.
  • Meet new business activity and quality appointment goals.
  • Develop sales business plans and use effective prospecting strategies. Overcome sales obstacles on a prospect-specific basis.
  • Build client and prospect pipelines. Develop cross-selling strategies for existing clients.
    Innovate for clients using market knowledge and advanced understanding of technical insurance issues.
  • Understand potential client's operations and then develop a prospecting / business development plan to address client exposures related to their specific insurance and risk management needs.
  • Possess expertise required to address prospect/client exposures to loss and arrange for proper representation during prospect solicitation and client service meetings.
  • Ensure the design of insurance and risk management service programs to meet the needs of prospects and clients to earn their trust and become a trusted advisor.
  • Provide continuous professional advice, guidance, and suggestions for improving the risk management programs of Company clients and prospects.
  • Participate in the overall Company efforts to develop and maintain strong client relationships through positive professional contacts with client representatives.
  • Assist in the securing and negotiation of quotations and the placement of coverage with appropriate insurance carriers.
