Commercial HVAC Service Technician (Journey Level)

Job Description:

Essential Duties:

• Troubleshoot and service large building systems and controls including VAVs, VRFs, water source heat pumps, computer rooms, cooling towers, boilers, and hydronic systems.
• Verify performance of electrical, heating and refrigeration sub-systems.
• Accurately document and communicate work performed.
• Create quotes for repairs and upgrades.   

Experience Required:

• Must have 10+ years commercial service experience with rooftop equipment (from light commercial to boxcars), airflow issues within buildings, VAVs, VRFs, water source heat pumps, computer rooms, cooling towers, boilers and hydronic systems .
• Strong operating knowledge and experience with DDC and pneumatic controls.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and operation manuals.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and solid knowledge of all aspects of commercial HVAC.
• Industry certification a plus, i.e. Intellipak, Liebert, VRF, etc.
• High standards for customer service.
• Excellent communication skills including successfully dealing with tenant issues.
• Enthusiastic attitude, high energy and a solid team player.
• Willingness and desire to teach and mentor team members.
