Jack Laurie Group is looking for a hardworking and dependable Commercial Flooring Apprentice to join our Fort Wayne team. This position is ideal for someone with 1–3 years of construction, flooring, or trade -related experience who wants to build a long -term career in the flooring industry.
<\/p>
You'll work alongside experienced installers on commercial projects throughout Northeast Indiana, learning the skills needed to install a wide variety of flooring products including LVT, LVP, carpet, carpet tile, sheet vinyl, rubber flooring, and more<\/b>.
<\/p>
What You'll Do
<\/h3>- Assist with the installation of commercial flooring materials including LVT, LVP, carpet, carpet tile, sheet vinyl, rubber flooring, and other floor coverings<\/b>
<\/li> - Prepare job sites and flooring surfaces for installation
<\/li> - Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment
<\/li> - Learn proper installation techniques and industry best practices
<\/li> - Assist with floor preparation, layout, cutting, fitting, and finishing
<\/li> - Maintain a clean and organized work area
<\/li> - Follow company safety policies and job site requirements
<\/li> - Travel to project sites throughout Northeast Indiana as needed
<\/li> - Work closely with experienced installers to develop your trade skills
<\/li><\/ul>What We're Looking For
<\/h3>- 1–3 years of construction, flooring, or related trade experience preferred
<\/li> - Willingness to learn and develop a career in commercial flooring
<\/li> - Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely
<\/li> - Strong attention to detail and work quality
<\/li> - Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
<\/li> - Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly
<\/li> - Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
<\/li> - Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
