Function in the Job

Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Job Function

The Driver is responsible for pulling material, loading, securing, verifying their loads and delivering to our local customers in a flatbed truck.

• Sets up and operates delivery trucks for local deliveries.
• Class A CDL or Class B CDL license preferred but not required.
• Reads Bill of Ladings.
• May be required to package material for shipment.
• Loads truck for local deliveries.
• Daily inspections of trucks in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Forklift Operation.
• Load inspection for verification of orders being delivered.
• Delivery of product to customer locations.
• Interaction with our customers.
• Represent Service Steel Aerospace in professional manner.
• Fuel trucks and adhere to maintenance schedules of vehicles.
• May be required to work OT but not to exceed 12 hours in one shift.
• Follow all JSA's attached with position
• Follow all Safety Procedures

Required Skills

• Clean Driving record for the last 3 years minimum
• Ability to quickly learn multiple functions in a complex industry.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Knowledge of operating industrial equipment.
• Ability to communicate well with others.
• Good mathematical skills including measurements.
• Ability to use and read measuring equipment such as calipers and measuring tapes.
• Ability to be able to operate a crane.
• Ability to be able to operate a forklift.
• Self-motivated and can act on own initiative.
• Experienced working to targets and deadlines.
• Adaptable and have a positive attitude towards change.
• Motivated, communicative and goal oriented.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.

Compensation Range

The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $23.00/Hr. - USD $36.00/Hr. depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
