Commercial Dock and Door Service Technician

Location: P&G, ALBANY - 69150043

Workdays/shifts: Mornings - varying days. More details will be provided during the interview process.

Employment Type: Full-time

Pay Range: $25 per hour - $26.50 per hour

What You'll Do: As a Commercial Dock and Door Service Technician at Sodexo, you are a problem solver and safety promoter. Your knowledge and technical skills are critical to meet maintenance needs. You will perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of commercial and industrial overhead doors and dock leveling systems including high speed roll doors and fire doors. You will troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems pertaining to the operation of overhead doors and dock leveling systems.

Responsibilities include:

  • Servicing and repairing commercial doors (including automatic, hollow metal and overhead doors), door hardware and commercial locks.
  • Servicing and repairing docks including levelers, seals, bumpers, restraints, etc. and including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Supervise and train general maintenance technician apprentice(s) in dock and door maintenance and repair.
  • Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.

What You Bring:

  • Successful candidates will be team-oriented, adaptable, reliable, and nurturers of a healthy/safe working environment for all.
  • High School diploma, or GED equivalent required
  • Completion of a manufacturer apprenticeship and training program providing 4 years of learning and experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant commercial/industrial overhead door and dock system maintenance experience required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in preventive maintenance, repairs, and installation of commercial overhead doors, automatic overhead doors, hydraulic and mechanical dock leveler, and dock restraints preferred
