Commercial Distribution Driver — Materials Handling

If you enjoy precise routing, safe driving, and hands-on work with materials, this role anchors our supply chain from warehouse to job site and back again.

Impact you’ll make

• Keep projects moving by transporting merchandise to customers and retrieving materials from vendors on schedule.
• Maintain airtight documentation—legible delivery signatures and verified authorization for all pickups.
• Uphold vehicle readiness and safety; immediately alert the Shipping Clerk or Warehouse Manager to any mechanical concerns.
• Model safe driving and handling practices—your truck’s safety is your responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Plan routes using maps to optimize delivery sequences.
• Load/unload at ground level or from platforms; move product between warehouse, yard, and truck.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and wire measuring equipment safely.
• Pull and stock items on conduit racks; count bundles, boxes, reels, coils, and pallets accurately.
• Work effectively across active construction sites and changing environments.
• Communicate clearly in English—spoken and written.

Qualifications and physical requirements

• Meets company driving standards aligned with SPI 537 (including Motor Vehicle Records) and SPI 539 (FMCSR Driver Requirements).
• Performs daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance; promptly reports issues.
• Comfortable working an entire shift in hot or cold conditions.
• Regularly lifts 50 lbs. or more; able to reach overhead, stoop, crouch, and climb ladders.
