Client Overview:
Our client is a well-established commercial finance company specializing in inventory finance and floor plan lending solutions for dealer-based businesses. The organization partners with manufacturers, dealers, and financial sponsors to provide revolving credit facilities while maintaining a disciplined credit culture and strong risk management framework. They are currently looking to add a Commercial Credit Underwriter/Credit Analyst to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$80k - $85k + Bonus

Position Overview:
The Commercial Credit Underwriter/Credit Analyst will support the underwriting and analysis of commercial credit facilities with a focus on inventory finance and commercial floor plan lending. This full-time onsite role will assist with financial analysis, credit memo preparation, dealer relationship reviews, portfolio monitoring, and ongoing credit administration. The ideal candidate will have commercial lending, credit analysis, or underwriting experience, with direct exposure to commercial floor plan lending strongly preferred. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys financial analysis, structured lending, credit review, and supporting dealer-based or inventory-heavy businesses.

Responsibilities of the Commercial Credit Underwriter/Credit Analyst:
  • Assist with underwriting, financial analysis, and preparation of credit memoranda for dealer relationships and commercial lending transactions.
  • Review financial statements, tax returns, collateral, inventory levels, and covenant compliance to assess credit risk and borrowing needs.
  • Support portfolio monitoring, special credit reviews, and ongoing risk management activities.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to gather information, support credit recommendations, and ensure timely transaction processing.
  • Maintain credit documentation, loan files, and workflow tracking while supporting process improvement initiatives.
Required Experience/Skills for the Commercial Credit Underwriter/Credit Analyst:
  • 3+ years of commercial lending, underwriting, credit analysis, financial analysis, or related experience.
  • Experience with floor plan lending, inventory finance, or asset-based lending preferred.
  • Strong financial analysis skills, including review of financial statements, cash flow, liquidity, leverage, collateral, and DSCR.
  • Understanding of commercial credit structures, revolving credit facilities, collateral, and risk management principles.
  • Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Commercial Credit Underwriter/Credit Analyst:
  • Direct experience with commercial floor plan lending or dealer-based lending relationships.
  • Exposure to borrowing base analysis, collateral monitoring, covenants, UCC filings, and loan documentation.
  • Experience supporting credit committee presentations, portfolio reviews, or credit process improvements.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
