    Description

    This position will report to Nash Plumbing and Mechanical, LLC, a subsidiary of HB Global.

    JOB SUMMARY:

    Support the team in the installation of commercial construction work as listed but not limited to: Underground and above ground mechanical piping systems, equipment setting, and mechanical trim work in commercial buildings.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Assist with commercial mechanical piping installation from underground, rough-in, equipment setting, and trim out on large scale commercial and industrial construction projects such as healthcare, government, educational, manufacturing, data centers and others.

    • Install hangers and support for pipes, and equipment prior to installation

    • Regular use of basic hand tools and ability to read a tape measure

    • Assist with the installation of materials such as copper, steel, malleable iron, PVC, CPVC, and other piping.

    • Duties could include assisting with setting chillers, boilers, air handling equipment, utility hookups, etc.

    • Able to work off ladders, man lifts and other equipment from various heights

    • Perform other related duties or special projects, as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Ability to travel, as needed, for projects

    • 1yr of commercial plumbing or mechanical experience preferred

    • Willingness to learn to read blueprints and shop drawings

    • Knowledge of basic tools and ability to read a tape measure preferred

    • Willingness to learn some aspects of the plumbing side is a plus. Continued growth in this area will be an expectation.

    • Requires basic mechanical aptitude, mathematical and English language skills.

    • Analytical and problem-solving skills

    • Regular and punctual attendance. Ability to work overtime if needed

    • Criminal background check required for hire

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Employees are regularly required to talk or hear

    • Employees are required to sit, squat, crawl, lay down and stand for long periods of time

    • Employees are required at times to walk uneven terrain

    • Employees are required to use hands to manipulate small parts and tools.

    • Employees must be able to push, pull and handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

    • Position requires the ability to lift and carry tools, material, and equipment up to 50 pounds

    • Position requires physical stamina and the ability to climb stairs and in/out of a scissor lift and navigate ditches

    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
