This role involves preparing accurate cost estimates for commercial projects and managing preconstruction activities to ensure seamless project execution. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, deep knowledge of Commercial Waterproofing systems, and a collaborative mindset.Estimating:Analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop detailed waterproofing estimatesCalculate material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costsSource and evaluate bids from waterproofing vendors and subcontractorsEnsure estimates comply with building codes and waterproofing standardsPresent cost breakdowns and value engineering options to stakeholdersPreconstruction:Lead preconstruction planning, job handoffs, and kickoff meetingsCollaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers, lead pre-construction submittals to clarify scope and resolve discrepanciesMaintain up-to-date knowledge of technologies, materials, and regulationsAssist in scheduling and sequencing activities within the broader construction timelineQualificationsEducation & Experience:Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial waterproofing or construction estimatingFamiliarity with Division 07 specifications and waterproofing systemsExperience with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, Excel)Skills:Strong understanding of insulation materials and installation methodsAbility to interpret complex construction documentsExcellent communication and negotiation skillsCapable of managing multiple projects and deadlinesTHIS IS A SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITIONTravel RequirementsType of Travel Required: Local Amount of Travel Required: < 50%A flexible schedule may include evening and weekend hours as required by job demand.Physical RequirementsAble to lift 50 lbs. unassisted to load and unload various products.
