Due to continued growth, they are seeking an Estimator who is eager to build a long-term career and contribute to the success of the preconstruction department.The Estimator in Building and Construction in South NJ will be responsible for:Compute project costs by analyzing labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricingPrepare estimates by reviewing proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related project documentsSolicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bidsResolve estimating discrepancies through data collection and analysisPresent prepared estimates by assembling and summarizing numerical and descriptive informationPrepare conceptual, schematic, design development, and hard bid estimatesReview construction plans and specifications for accuracy and completenessPerform quantity takeoffs and apply appropriate unit pricingAnalyze project risks and identify value engineering opportunitiesCollaborate with project managers, owners, architects, and subcontractors throughout the preconstruction processAssist with bid submissions and proposal preparationDevelop into a leadership role within the estimating and preconstruction teamMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
