Commercial Assistant Project ManagerOur client is a well-established, growth-oriented General Contractor based in New Jersey, specializing in a diverse portfolio of commercial, institutional (K-12, municipal, healthcare), and industrial construction projects. They are known for delivering high-quality projects, maintaining strong client relationships, and investing in technology and systems to streamline project delivery.Job DescriptionSupport Project Manager and Superintendent across all phases of construction, from preconstruction planning through project closeout.Manage and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation to ensure accuracy and timely completion.Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, architects, and engineers to maintain project schedules and resolve issues proactively.Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and cost controls.Review subcontractor invoices and support financial tracking to ensure alignment with budgets and contract terms.Prepare meeting minutes, progress reports, and project status updates for internal and client-facing meetings.Support procurement of materials and manage purchase orders and subcontract agreements.Assist with permitting, inspections, and project closeout documentation to ensure successful turnover.Maintain strong communication across all stakeholders to ensure alignment and project success.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
