This position is remote, with frequent travel to WIS Headquarters, campuses or events as business needs require, in the Dallas/Plano market.
Position Overview
The College Relations Coordinator plays a critical role in advancing the organization’s early‑career talent pipeline by supporting and coordinating campus engagement initiatives, internship programs, recruiting events, and candidate experience strategies. This role provides hands-on, in-person support for college relations and hiring initiatives in the Dallas market, while also virtually supporting and executing the nationwide College Relations Partnership Program in close partnership with internal leaders and college contacts.
The position requires strong organizational skills, proactive communication, and disciplined execution to support workforce needs during peak hiring cycles. The College Relations Coordinator reports directly to the Manager, College Relations Programs and consistently demonstrates WIS values of Service, Pride, Integrity, Results, Innovation, and Teamwork, with a strong focus on customer experience, safety, and professionalism.
Campus Engagement & Strategic Partnerships
Internship & Early Career Program Management
- Coordinate and support internship program milestones, including program launch activities, meet‑and‑greets, mid‑program engagement touchpoints, and final‑week activities.
- Provide onsite or virtual support to districts hosting interns, as needed, partnering with field and talent leadership to ensure a positive intern experience.
- Support DVP, RD, and RTM participation in local campus events tied to the internship program, including welcome days and concluding events.
- Escalate program‑ or event‑related issues to the Manager, College Relations Programs when attention or intervention is required.
- Support ad hoc recruiting, screening, and coordination activities during peak hiring periods to meet operational workforce demands.
Reporting, Tracking & Program Administration
- Maintain and regularly update College Playbook Smartsheet trackers and Event Smartsheet trackers.
- Verify accuracy and completeness of event and partnership data to ensure dashboards and metrics reflect current program status.
- Update and maintain the College Relations Event Dashboard in alignment with established reporting standards.
- Follow established processes for event communication, setup, execution, and dashboard updates.
Candidate Experience & Employer Branding
- Monitor the College Relations mailbox daily and respond to inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for college partners, students, interns, and early‑career candidates; provide accurate information and guidance while exercising discretion and judgment.
- Partner with TA Specialists and the Manager, College Relations Programs to respond to urgent or high‑priority emails and escalations.
- Maintain organized inbox management and accurate email filing to support team efficiency and continuity.
- Support consistent, professional communication with college partners by confirming event details, logistics, and expectations for all stakeholders.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 1–3 years of experience in recruitment coordination, campus recruiting, HR support, or a related function.
- Reliable transportation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
- Experience supporting or attending onsite recruiting events, career fairs, internship programs, or employer‑led engagement activities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with students, interns, college partners, and internal leaders.
- Proven organizational skills with high attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Comfort operating independently in public‑facing, campus, or field environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with applicant tracking systems and Smartsheet preferred.
- Demonstrated professionalism, sound judgment, and reliability when representing the organization independently.
- Willingness to submit to a pre‑employment Investigative Consumer Report and MVR check in accordance with company guidelines.
Working Conditions
- Work is primarily sedentary and requires frequent use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse.
