  • Responsible for post-award management with a high degree of complexity, including various sub agreements from both federal and non-federal funding sources, ensuring compliance with federal and University cost principles.
  • Work on all phases of post award grant administration for the College of Nursing from grant issuance through grant closeout.

Compliance

Operational/Administrative Support

  • Provide training to new project directors and assist project directors in interpreting accounting and funding agency regulations and monitor compliance with contract/grant terms in accordance with university policies and state and federal regulations.
  • Recommend and process expense change vouchers and personnel changes of status to ensure grants stay within budget and comply with federal/university grant regulations.
  • Develop and implement procedures to manage and improve department function and purpose.

  • Provide extensive contact with sponsored programs, grant accounting and federal and non-federal agencies and provide counsel and assistance to PI's on policies
  • Interact with departmental administrators and principal investigators from other departments; interact with Grant Accounting, Division of Sponsored Programs, Accounts Payable, and Program Officers and Grant Management Specialists regarding inquiries about contracts and grants.
