About the Job

The Collections & Cash Application Coordinator is responsible for managing daily cash application and accounts receivable activities, ensuring accurate posting of payments while proactively supporting credit and collections efforts to maintain healthy customer accounts.

  • Post daily cash receipts, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure timely resolution of unapplied funds
  • Retrieve and manage remittance documentation to support accurate payment application
  • Identify and resolve short payments, deductions, and billing disputes
  • Monitor aging reports and initiate collection actions to reduce past-due accounts
  • Prepare month-end reports, support closing processes, and maintain credit files
  • Assess customer credit risk and support credit approvals or adjustments
  • Generate invoices, including through customer portals and third-party systems
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries, providing documentation to facilitate payment and account resolution

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of Accounts Receivable or related experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Accounts Receivable, credit, and collections processes
  • Experience with banking platforms and cash application systems
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to reconcile accounts and analyze discrepancies
  • Effective communication and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams
