Overview:
What's the role?
As a Collections Analyst, you will be responsible for the efficient monitoring and reporting of customer deposits, bill payments and credit account re-charges across all payment channels and customer segments. Additionally, the position is responsible for the efficient reporting and active collection of debt for delinquent accounts in accordance with established procedures across all customer segments. The position reports to the Manager, Credit and Collections.
Responsibilities:
How can you add value?
- Monitor and collect outstanding revenue to meet agreed targets.
- Record and track payment plans and promises to pay, taking appropriate action on defaulted accounts.
- Manage credit-related calls, addressing customer inquiries and concerns.
- Proactively contact customers exceeding credit limits before implementing actions.
- Ensure accounts are settled within a 30-day timeframe and initiate necessary suspensions or disconnections.
- Prepare payment demand letters and cease eligible accounts as part of the collection process.
- Coordinate with external debt collectors, handling tasks such as commission preparation, query resolution, and credit bureau approvals.
- Implement processes to enhance cash flow and reduce receivables, minimizing bad debt ratios.
- Align processes for SOX approval and reviews accounts for potential bad debt loss, making reserve recommendations.
- Collaborate with multiple departments (Credit, Customer Operations, Enterprise, Commercial, Billing, Accounting, Tax, and Treasury) to improve processes impacting cash flow, ensuring compliance with credit policies, collection rules, and regulations.
- Demonstrate and ensure compliance with the Customer First Philosophy, all Liberty PR and LLA policies and procedures including the Code of Conduct and Liberty safety standards and procedures.

Qualifications:
What do you need?
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Finance, Accounting, Statistics) or similar sound secondary education
2-3 years of experience with revenue, credit, collections, good experience of accounting principles, specifically the accounts receivable area and revenue recognition, experience dealing with large volumes of customers, knowledge of laws, regulations and rules concerning collections.
