Responsibilities:

• Manage and prioritize collections activities to ensure timely payments and resolution of outstanding accounts.
• Work daily from an automated dialer system to contact customers and efficiently manage call volume.
• Utilize strong negotiation skills to communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding payment arrangements.
• Maintain accurate records of collection efforts and update account information in internal systems and financial software.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve account discrepancies and provide a positive customer experience.
• Ensure compliance with all collection laws, regulations, and company policies during customer interactions.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a collections or sales role, preferably within a financial or lending institution.
• Strong working knowledge of collection laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to de-escalate difficult situations.
• Ability to handle challenging customer interactions with empathy and professionalism.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and using a dialer system and multiple computer applications.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent (some college coursework in finance or a related field preferred).
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a strong work ethic.
