Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Coil Assembly Technician responsible for assembling, testing, and housing wound coils with precision. This position involves hands-on work with various tools, fixtures, and machines to meet customer specifications and ensure high-quality standards. Attention to detail, manual dexterity, and a commitment to production efficiency are critical to success in this role.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coil Preparation & Assembly:

    • Apply initial tape to wound coils manually using hand tools.
    • Attach lead wires to coils manually and secure them using solder (dip soldering).
    • Tape down lead wires and apply final tape to coils manually in fixtures.
  • Machine Operation:

    • Operate tape application machine to apply final tape to coils.
  • Coil Housing:

    • Assemble coils into housings using epoxy, glue, hand tools, and fixtures.
  • Quality Testing:

    • Test coils using provided instructions to ensure quality standards are met.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Language Skills:

    • Ability to follow verbal instructions in Spanish or English.
    • Basic English reading skills necessary to interpret work orders, blueprints, and customer specifications.
  • Technical & Manual Skills:

    • Manual dexterity to handle coils ranging from ¼" to 1.5" diameter.
    • Proficiency with measuring tools such as rulers and calipers to verify coil dimensions.
    • Ability to perform close-up work under magnification and use corrective lenses, if necessary.
  • Production Focus:

    • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and production efficiency.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment alongside 15 other assemblers (majority Spanish-speaking).

Work Schedule:

  • Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (30-minute lunch)
  • Friday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (30-minute lunch)
  • Saturday (Overtime): 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (30-minute lunch) - Significant overtime opportunities available.
