The primary duties of the Coatings & Shipping Manager will include but are not limited to the following:
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, coatings, logistics, or related industrial operations
Supervisory or lead‑worker experience in a production or yard environment
Knowledge of industrial coatings, preservatives, or finishing processes
Ability to operate or supervise operation of forklifts, cranes, and pole‑handling equipment
Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
Experience in profit and loss responsibility, plant maintenance, production scheduling and personnel management
Technical knowledge supporting industrial controls and/or automated systems and integrating automated equipment into production systems
