  • Are you experienced in coatings, vacuum systems, or precision manufacturing?
  • This is a great 3rd shift opportunity to work hands-on with advanced coatings technology in a fast-paced environment producing high-performance carbide cutting tools!

What your future day will look like:
  • Operate and maintain PVD coating equipment to apply thin-film coatings to carbide drills and cutting tools
  • Prepare parts for coating by cleaning, inspecting, masking, and fixturing to ensure consistent coverage and quality
  • Monitor key process variables such as vacuum pressure, temperature, gas flow, and deposition rates to meet specifications
  • Inspect finished parts using measurement tools and visual/microscopic methods to verify coating thickness, adhesion, and uniformity
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on furnaces, vacuum systems, and related equipment to minimize downtime
  • Accurately document batch data, process parameters, and inspection results
  • Partner with engineering and quality teams on process improvements and troubleshooting coating defects
  • Follow all safety protocols while handling materials, gases, and equipment in a manufacturing setting
  • Support production goals and assist with training team members as needed

Type: Contract to Hire

To be a champion in this role, you will need:
  • High school diploma or GED (technical training or associate degree preferred)
  • 1+ years of experience with PVD/CVD systems, vacuum equipment, or similar manufacturing processes
  • Understanding of coating processes, vacuum technology, or thin-film deposition is strongly preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and maintenance capabilities
  • Basic computer skills for tracking production data and operating system interfaces
  • High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production-driven environment
