Position Purpose
The coalition coordinator is responsible for the coordination, growth, and engagement of our statewide and regional coalition efforts. This role facilitates and supports community-driven partnerships, coalition governance, manages membership and applies evidence-based planning strategies to identify and advance coalition
priorities.
Core Accountabilities and Essential Duties
Community Organizing and Mobilization
Build and strengthen relationships with key communities and stakeholders to unite
diverse organizations, experts, leaders, and community members who are motivated to engage in work to address the root causes of hunger.
Bridge existing regional coalition(s) to statewide efforts.
Support the development of new regional coalitions with priorities in Burleigh/Morton and Grand Forks Counties.
Utilize social media, community meetings, and other outreach platforms to engage with
current and potential member organizations.
Strategic Planning and Implementation
Use evidence-based tools to guide the coalitions through strategic planning processes to identify shared objectives, measurements of success, and
priorities for the statewide and regional coalitions.
Support implementation of coalition activities and evaluate their outcomes.
Oversee the annual planning, coordination, and execution of the regional Hunger & Health Summit
Develop and implement annual member surveys to evaluate partner alignment and strengthen collective impact.
Coalition Governance
Manage established procedures for coalition operation at the statewide and regional level including governance, budgetary, membership, and decision-making processes.
Coordinate monthly meetings with coalition governance boards.
Develop coalition policy platforms and position statements in alignment with the coalitions' overarching missions.
Streamline internal information sharing by maintaining an updated digital archive of all
coalition resources and materials.
Education, Experience and Requirements
Successful candidates for this position will have work experience or equivalent degree outlining their abilities to perform the core responsibilities outlined above. Relatable areas of expertise may include:
Project Management, Political Science, Community Development, Hunger Relief, Social Work, Volunteer Management, etc. Valid driver’s license, ability to travel statewide and flexibility to attend meetings and events in evenings and/or on weekends required.

Focused on establishing and building relationships with stakeholders
Proven facilitator with diverse groups providing conflict management and collective impact leadership
Strong communicator that possesses excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work in a fast paced, yet independent environment with multi-faceted demands and deadlines
Critical thinking skills to identify strengths
and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work collaboratively and independently when required
