Coach in Training

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Coach in Training (CIT) position is responsible for supporting the Tennis Department by assisting Lead Coaches with youth tennis programming for children ages 10 and under. This entry-level role provides hands-on coaching experience while developing the skills and knowledge needed to become a successful tennis coach. The CIT assists with executing the planned tennis curriculum, helps manage participants on the court, and fosters a safe, positive, and engaging environment for young athletes.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS

• Assist the Lead Coach with instruction during youth tennis programs for children ages 10 and under.
• Help execute the planned tennis curriculum and activities.
• Support the Lead Coach in managing participants on the court to promote a safe, organized, and positive learning environment.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm, professionalism, and positive sportsmanship while interacting with participants and families.
• Assist with setting up and putting away tennis equipment before and after classes.
• Follow all Bay Club safety policies and coaching guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
