Immediate opening for an Assistant Swim Coach for the 2026-2027 school year at Blacksburg Middle School. The coach will plan and implement a high-quality athletic program emphasizing fundamentals, teamwork, sportsmanship, and safety. Responsibilities include monitoring athletes’ academic performance to ensure eligibility.
Minimum qualifications: high school diploma or equivalent, age 21 or older, successful completion of VHSL courses, effective communication, dependability, and punctuality.
Preferred qualifications: coaching or athlete experience at high school or college level, current CPR certification.
Supplemental pay ranges from $1,401.75 to $2,037.06 per season. The position is non-exempt, open until filled, and an equal opportunity employer committed to nondiscrimination.
