Diesel Barbershop is hiring a Co-Manager, or Assistant Shop Manager to join our leadership team in San Antonio, Tx.
This is a working leadership role for a licensed Barber or Cosmetologist who takes pride in their craft, leads by example, and is passionate about delivering exceptional men’s haircuts, fades, beard trims, and client experiences.
You’ll spend the majority of your day behind the chair while helping support team development, shop operations, guest satisfaction, and overall business performance.

What You’ll Do
Behind the Chair
- Deliver exceptional men’s haircuts, fades, tapers, beard trims, and straight razor services
- Build strong client relationships that increase retention, referrals, and rebooking
- Recommend professional grooming products that support client goals
- Create a consistent, high-quality guest experience on every visit
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead by example through professionalism, reliability, and positive energy
- Support hiring, onboarding, and training of barbers and stylists
- Coach team members on consultations, service standards, retail performance, and client retention
- Help maintain a positive, accountable, team-focused culture
- Support performance management and daily leadership responsibilities
Shop Operations
- Help oversee daily barbershop operations and guest flow
- Support scheduling, front desk operations, and appointment management
- Assist with cash handling, opening and closing procedures, and daily shop standards
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and confidently
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment
What We’re Looking For
- Active Texas Barber License or Cosmetology License
- Strong technical skills in men’s haircuts, fades, beard grooming, and detailing
- Previous leadership, management, or training experience preferred
- Excellent communication and coaching skills
- Professional, reliable, and solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume barbershop environment
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
- Passion for helping others grow and delivering outstanding customer service
