Co-Investment Associates support senior investment professionals in sourcing, evaluating, executing, and monitoring direct co-investment opportunities alongside lead sponsors. The role combines financial modeling, transaction analysis, due diligence coordination, and portfolio monitoring in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment.
These professionals work closely with general partners, internal investment committees, legal counsel, and portfolio company management teams.
Evaluate co-investment opportunities across private equity, growth equity, private credit, or other alternative strategies
Build detailed financial models, including LBO, cash flow, and scenario analyses
Conduct industry research, competitive analysis, and market diligence
Review sponsor materials, CIMs, and diligence reports
Prepare investment memoranda and presentation materials for internal investment committees
Participate in management meetings and diligence calls
Coordinate legal, tax, and operational due diligence with internal and external advisors
Monitor portfolio company performance and track key metrics post-investment
Analyze fund-level exposure and diversification related to co-investment allocations
Support relationship management with sponsor partners and investment firms
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related field
Experience in investment banking, private equity, private credit, consulting, or transaction advisory (preferred but not required)
Strong financial modeling and valuation skills
Solid understanding of private markets transaction structures and capital stacks
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with financial data platforms (e.g., Capital IQ, PitchBook) is a plus
Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interest in private markets investing and direct transaction execution
