CNC Tool & Cutter Grinding Technician / Operator

Job Description:

CNC Machine Operator- 2nd shift *

Full time

Hours: 2:30pm - 11:00pm

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or General education degree (GED)
• 6+ months industry related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience including but not limited to Tool Grinding, Machining, Computer Science or Design
• Hardware and software experience is preferred
• Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisor and co-workers
• Strong geometry knowledge is foundational. Must also be able to convert metric to inch and do decimal to fraction conversions and must be impeccable with decimal placement
• Must have a strong analytical trouble shooting ability
• Good work ethics, attendance, transportation, hygiene and teamwork
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as product blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and policy and procedure manuals

Preferred Qualifications:

• College degree (AS or BS) in related field (Machine Tool Technology, Computer Science, Mfg. Engineering Technology, etc)
• Experience in using Anca ToolRoom, NUM, AutoCAD, and other precision inspection tools
• Familiarity with Zoller product lines, comparators and calipers
• Strong work ethic and an interest in manufacturing technology

Physical Demands

• Standing 90 percent of the day, some bending into the machines
