The opportunity

We’re hiring a CNC Systems Maintenance and Diagnostics Specialist to boost facility uptime through preventative maintenance, hands-on repairs, and continuous improvement across our machining operations.

Day-to-day impact

The following essential functions are the critical duties an employee must be able to perform either unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation

• Lead and participate in initiatives that increase runtime for the entire facility
• Support production needs so machines run consistently and parts stay in steady supply
• Close work orders with thorough root cause analysis and lasting fixes
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical/electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Carry out weekly, monthly, and annual PM tasks
• Document malfunctions and communicate status and corrective actions to the oncoming shift and supervisor
• Promote and practice safe work methods to keep the team incident free
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Procedure development and documentation
• Measurement and diagnostics with calipers, depth gauges, and other tools

Technical toolkit

Mechanical

• Blueprint reading
• Welding and torching for fabrication
• Gears, transmissions, and belt-driven systems
• Level/align lathes, horizontal machining centers, and boring bars
• Install ballscrews and bearings
• Advanced Fanuc and Mazatrol familiarity
• Shaft alignment; lubrication technology and application
• General CNC machining knowledge
• Overhead crane operation

Electrical

• Ladder diagrams; relays and limit switches; basic wiring
• Motors, drives, and power supplies; power distribution
• Electrical troubleshooting methodologies

Hydraulic & Pneumatic

• Read prints; service valves, pumps, cylinders, and seals

Background & credentials

• Associate’s degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology preferred
• 8+ years’ experience spanning mechanical and electrical maintenance
• Journeyman card holder preferred
