About the role

Join our high‑volume CNC department and take the lead on running multiple machines at once, with a strong emphasis on Swiss turning lathes. You will turn detailed blueprints into accurate parts, keep production flowing, and verify quality with precision measurement tools and CMM equipment.

What you will do

  • Operate several CNC machines simultaneously in a fast‑paced production environment.
  • Interpret complex blueprints and job travelers to confirm customer specifications before and during production.
  • Perform tool changes and make offset adjustments as needed to hold tolerance.
  • Replace tooling in accordance with predetermined tool‑life schedules and monitor a variety of cutting tools for wear.
  • Apply basic shop math to verify dimensions and solve machining problems.
  • Use micrometers, calipers, go/no‑go gages, and CMM equipment to confirm first‑time quality.
  • Consistently produce parts within customer specifications while meeting production standards and first‑pass yield goals.
  • Use the ERP system to record operations and maintain full product traceability through each process step.
  • Follow all plant safety rules, company policies, and procedures; complete daily paperwork; attend job‑related meetings; keep the work area clean; and represent the company professionally with customers, suppliers, and coworkers.

Tools, skills, and experience

  • Extensive blueprint reading ability.
  • Hands‑on skill with micrometers, calipers, go/no‑go gages, and CMM.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of CNC cutting tools.
  • Knowledge of Swiss turning lathes.
  • Comfort converting between imperial and metric units (a plus).

Physical expectations

  • Lift up to 50 pounds; move heavy items; empty scrap bins and carts; and operate various light equipment.
  • Regular bending, twisting, lifting, walking, pushing, and pulling.
  • Work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks at once.
