Job Title: CNC Swiss Machinist
Department: Operations | Swiss
Classification: Non-exempt
Reports to: Swiss Lead/Mfg. Manager

Job Summary

Our experienced CNC Swiss Machinist role will be responsible for programming, setup an operation of CNC Swiss milling centers, applying knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics, machineability of materials, and layout techniques.

Job Duties

Essential Functions

  • Developing programs using MasterCam for new parts.
  • Develop fixtures and processes for production of parts.
  • Continuous improvement initiatives of existing and continuous parts.
  • Ensure work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
  • Participate in safety training and shop meetings.
  • Consistent communication with peers in department and management.
  • Follow established processes and quality and safety standards.

Job Specifications

  • S. diploma or GED required, preferred vocational school and/or apprenticeship
  • 5+ years’ experience in CNC Swiss milling and programming
  • Experience in using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines (swiss, grinders, mills, etc.)
  • Must have a positive attitude with a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot
  • Ability to read, interpret drawings/blueprints and follow routers
  • Knowledge of metal properties and other material
  • Outstanding mathematical skills and analytical abilities
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, punctual and regular attendance
  • Available to work weekends and overtime
