CNC Swiss Lathe Machinist – Greenville, SC
Key Responsibilities
·Setup & Operation
oPerform complete setups of CNC Swiss lathes, including tooling, offsets, program loading, and first-article verification.
oOperate CNC Swiss machines to produce precision parts according to blueprints, work orders, and quality standards.
oAdjust feeds, speeds, and tooling as necessary to maintain part quality and efficiency.
·Quality Assurance
oInspect parts using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, optical comparators, etc.).
oEnsure parts meet dimensional and surface finish requirements.
oMaintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
·Maintenance & Troubleshooting
oPerform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment in good working order.
oDiagnose and correct machining issues related to tooling, programs, or machine performance.
·Collaboration & Safety
oWork with the production manager and programming team to optimize machining processes.
oFollow all company safety guidelines, procedures, and ISO/quality standards.
oMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Qualifications
·Experience:
o3+ years operating CNC Swiss lathes (Citizen or similar preferred).
oHands-on experience in full machine setups (tooling, offsets, programs).
·Skills:
oStrong knowledge of G-code and CNC programming fundamentals.
oAbility to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T.
oProficient with precision measuring instruments and inspection procedures.
oProblem-solving and troubleshooting skills in machining operations.
