About the Role We are seeking a skilled CNC Setup Machinst to support machining operations in a precision manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who brings strong hands-on experience with CNC setup, a solid understanding of machining processes, and the ability to support efficient, high-quality production.

You will play a key role in preparing machines for production, ensuring quality standards are met, and working closely with the shop floor team to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

· Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes for production runs

· Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job specifications

· Perform tooling selection, offsets, and machine adjustments

· Troubleshoot machining issues and assist with process improvements

· Ensure parts meet quality standards and required tolerances

· Use precision measuring tools to inspect finished components

· Collaborate with machinists and team members to maintain efficient workflow

· Assist with general shop support and continuous improvement initiatives

· Perform basic welding as needed for fixtures, repairs, or fabrication support

· Support tool and die maintenance, repair, and setup activities

Qualifications

· High School Diploma or equivalent required; Trade or Technical School preferred

· 3+ years of experience in CNC setup and operation (mills and/or lathes)

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

· Strong math skills and experience with precision measuring tools

· Experience with welding (MIG, TIG, or similar) preferred

· Exposure to tool and die work is a strong plus

· Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

· Good communication skills and ability to work within a team environment

Physical Requirements

· Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift

· Ability to lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs

· Strong hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
