Step into a day where your setups set the tone and your measurements make the call. As a CNC Precision Machining Specialist, you’ll arrive at our Landing, NJ facility, review prints, plan your process, and bring complex parts to life with accuracy and care. You’ll own the setup, run, and verification of parts on both lathes and multiaxis mills, collaborating with a close-knit team that values craftsmanship and reliability.

What you’ll do

  • Plan, set up, and operate CNC equipment to produce parts that meet exacting specifications.
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and CAD data to select the right tools, speeds/feeds, and machining strategies.
  • Monitor cuts, adjust offsets, and optimize cycle performance for consistent results.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to keep machines in peak condition.
  • Verify first-article and production parts with precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.) to confirm conformance to quality standards.
  • Partner with teammates to diagnose and resolve machining challenges.
  • Maintain a tidy, organized, and safe work area while following all safety procedures.

What you bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a machining certificate or technical degree is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience as a CNC machinist or closely related position.
  • Fluency in reading and understanding blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Solid knowledge of CNC programming concepts and machine operation.
  • Hands-on experience with precision measurement tools and inspection methods.
  • Strong problem-solving ability, meticulous attention to detail, and pride in workmanship.
  • Comfort working both independently and within a team; clear communication and a positive approach.

  • Okuma CNC Lathes (2–4 axis)
  • 5+ Axis CNC VMCs with Fanuc, Matsuura, and Haas controls
  • CAM: Autodesk Fusion 360 and Mastercam
