Job Title: CNC Operator (Wire)
Position Level: Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator (Wire) responsible for programming, operating, and monitoring CNC machines used for 2-D and 3-D wire bending. This role ensures that components are manufactured to precise specifications while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program, operate, and monitor CNC machines for 2-D and 3-D wire bending
  • Set machine controls such as speed, feed, depth, and angle according to specifications
  • Load raw materials and components onto machines and ensure proper setup
  • Evaluate and adjust CNC tools and machine paths as needed
  • Inspect finished components using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure accuracy
  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to guide machining processes
  • Identify and troubleshoot machine malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and tooling calibration
  • Utilize internal systems such as ERP, drawing/model viewers, and machine controls
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment
  • Assist in training operators and supporting team development
  • Manage multiple priorities while maintaining high attention to detail and quality standards
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous CNC programming and operating experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Strong math and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using measuring and inspection tools
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and drawing/model viewers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual abilities
  • Basic understanding of 3-D planes and geometry
  • Experience training or mentoring others
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 30-50 lbs
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a production environment

Work Environment

This role operates in a manufacturing setting requiring attention to safety, precision, and efficiency. Candidates must be able to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed, and successfully complete pre-employment screening requirements.
