We are seeking an experienced CNC Operator/Machinist to join a growing manufacturing team. This position is ideal for someone with strong machining experience who can independently set up and operate CNC equipment while producing high-quality precision components. Candidates should be comfortable working from blueprints, maintaining tight tolerances, and contributing to a safe, team-oriented production environment.
Set up and operate CNC lathes and/or mills to manufacture precision machined parts.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
Edit machine programs, speeds, and feeds as needed to optimize production.
Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment.
Maintain close tolerances of 0.001 " or better while ensuring product quality.
Perform machine setup changes for a variety of part configurations and production runs.
Operate secondary equipment such as drill presses, saws, tapping machines, and punch presses.
Deburr, clean, and inspect finished parts.
Troubleshoot machining issues and communicate production concerns to supervision.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Assist with training less experienced machinists when needed.
Follow all company safety policies and quality standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
2-5 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience setting up and operating CNC lathes and/or mills.
Working knowledge of G-Code and M-Code programming.
Ability to read blueprints and accurately interpret dimensions and tolerances.
Experience using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and gauges.
Basic computer skills for data entry and machine interface.
Ability to make minor program edits at the machine.
Experience operating manual machining equipment is a plus.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently while meeting production goals.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Willingness to work overtime as needed.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Technical school or machining certification preferred but not required.
