We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Operator to join our dynamic team. This role presents a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in the engineering industry. As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines, producing precision parts, and maintaining quality and safety standards. This role is ideal for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment and has a passion for manufacturing and aerospace engineering.

Responsibilities

1. Programming and operating CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.
2. Setting up machines to start a production cycle.
3. Controlling and adjusting machine settings (e.g. speed).
4. Feeding raw material or parts to semi-automated machines.
5. Inspecting parts with precision and measuring tools.
6. Checking and maintaining machinery daily to ensure functionality.
7. Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models.
8. Loading feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
9. Maintaining specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.

Qualifications

1. 2+ years of experience as a CNC Operator.
2. Familiarity with machinery and equipment such as micrometers, mill, calipers, and machining.
3. Skilled at reading and interpreting mechanical documents and drawings.
4. Mechanical aptitude and good math skills.
5. A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach.
6. Good communication abilities.
7. Experience in using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines (lathes, grinders etc.).
8. Ability to use precision tools (e.g. calipers) to take accurate measurements.
9. Knowledge of the properties of metal and other material.
10. Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals.
11. Experience in the aerospace and manufacturing industry is a plus.
12. Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a definite plus.
