CNC Machinists Aerospace Manufacturing
Job Summary
The CNC Operator supports daily aerospace manufacturing operations in a fast paced team environment. This role focuses on running CNC milling centers, supporting production flow, and maintaining quality and safety standards. Flexibility and attention to detail matter.
• Operate multiple 3 axis and 5 axis CNC milling machines simultaneously
• Load raw materials and unload finished machined parts to maintain production flow
• Monitor machining cycles to ensure continuous operation
• Verify setup accuracy using internal documentation and job travelers
• Inspect cutter assemblies and monitor tool life using micrometers and calipers
• Replace cutting tools as required
• Perform basic dimensional and geometric inspections on machined parts
• Complete basic deburring and edge break for part safety and downstream operations
• Maintain part quality in compliance with AS9100 requirements
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes for material and work holding movement
• Maintain clean and organized work areas following 6S standards
• Log production activity accurately in the ERP system
• Support CNC machine upkeep including coolant levels, filter cleaning, and chip bin removal
• Identify and report continuous improvement opportunities
• Entry level to junior CNC experience preferred
• Exposure to aerospace manufacturing environments a plus
• Ability to read basic manufacturing documentation and travelers
• Comfortable using hand measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
• Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred or willing to train
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Team focused mindset with flexibility to support production needs
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Lift up to 25 lbs
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
