A growing precision manufacturing company in the Chicago area is seeking an experienced CNC Milling Machinist to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a machinist who enjoys hands-on work, programming support, blueprint interpretation, and producing high-quality machined components in a collaborative shop environment.

This position is open due to a long-term replacement need and offers strong stability, consistent hours, and leadership support from an experienced shop management team.

Job Details

What You’ll Do
  • Set up and operate CNC milling machines
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Utilize MasterCAM programming to support machining operations
  • Perform precision measurements using standard inspection and measurement tools
  • Monitor machine performance and ensure quality standards are met
  • Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Collaborate with the shop manager and production team to meet deadlines and quality expectations

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of CNC milling machining experience
  • Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
  • Experience using MasterCAM
  • Experience with precision measurement tools and inspection equipment
  • Ability to work independently and maintain high-quality standards

Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional CNC programming experience
  • Experience working in a custom or precision manufacturing environment
