Status: This is a full-time; hourly position
Hours: Monday - Wednesday: 3:15pm - 2:45am & Thursday: 3:15pm - 11:15pm; overtime as needed

JOB SUMMARY: The CNC Mill Operator is responsible for the set up and operation of the Omag stone mills.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Set up, operate and maintain the Omag stone mills.
- Use cranes to load and unload work from the machine.
- Load programs from the network.
- Prepare mill bed with necessary brackets and risers.
- Level and align stone to axis on the mill bed.
- Secure stone using clamps, wedges and spacers so it does not move and the mill does not contact it during operation.
- Review program sheet with the stone and production ticket to verify the correct stone and tools are loaded.
- Manually jog mill using touch-off block and a dial indicator to set origin according to programmer's specifications.
- Assemble mill tools as needed for the program and disassemble tools when the job is complete.
- Monitor machine operation.
- Verify quality of work by applying patterns and measuring stone.
- Use large hammers and pry bars frequently to position stone on mill bed.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must obtain forklift certification (training and certification provided by Coldspring for all employees who may be required to operate a forklift).
- Previous CNC machine and tool operation
- Ability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another, to avoid interruptions in production.
- Ability to work independently, with little or no supervision.
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills, with an emphasis in time management, improving efficiencies and exercising independent judgment to determine work priority and urgency.
- Mechanically inclined.
- General math skills.
- Must be able to read work orders or production tickets, which may include dimensional drawings.
- Ability to read a tape measure, imperial and metric.
- Work as a self-motivated team member who adheres to all safety protocols and is willing to cross-train as needed.
