CNC/Manual Saw Cutting Technician — Novi, Michigan

Schedule: Monday–Friday (some Saturdays), 5:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Compensation: Approximately $22.00 per hour

A day in this role

Clock in at 5:30 a.m., review the day’s cut sheets, and set up either a CNC or manual saw—vertical or horizontal—based on the work orders. You’ll stage tubing, round stock, and bar stock (hot rolled and cold drawn) with a crane or by hand, then verify lengths and tolerances before making each cut. Throughout the day, you’ll switch between materials and programs, confirm measurements against prints, and keep the area clear and organized for the next run. Before wrap-up at 4:00 p.m., you’ll document finished pieces and prepare the station for tomorrow’s queue.

What you’ll handle

• Operate CNC and manual saws (vertical and horizontal configurations)
• Load materials by overhead crane or manually: tubing, bar stock (hot rolled/cold drawn), and round stock
• Cut to precise lengths according to engineering prints and cut sheets
• Complete onsite crane certification at the client location

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (required)
