Step Into the Shop: A Day in This Role

Picture yourself walking onto a 24/7 production floor that keeps the grid humming. You partner with maintenance supervisors, jump on a tricky CNC fault, and restore a balance spin facility to spec. By mid-morning, you're coordinating an integration project with an outside vendor; later, you're drafting a purchase requisition for critical components and aligning with department managers on shift turnover. You lead by doing—an individual contributor who moves projects forward, bridges teams, and makes complex systems play nicely together.

Impact You Will Deliver

  • Diagnose and resolve issues across CNC machines, balance spin facilities, and process equipment supporting the Steam Turbine product line.
  • Own multi-disciplinary projects that elevate equipment capability; coordinate vendors and internal stakeholders to execute upgrades and retrofits.
  • Assess maintenance economics—repair vs. replace vs. upgrade—using lifecycle cost and operational risk to drive recommendations.
  • Stand up proactive maintenance plans for critical assets to lift reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Keep information flowing: daily coordination with managers and peers, clear shift-turnover communication, and precise documentation.
  • Build the vendor ecosystem—source new partners for integrations and service, while managing existing facility service providers.
  • Enable the team with current methods and know-how; provide off-shift support and occasional call-in assistance when required.

What You Bring

  • AAS or BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related field), or an equivalent blend of experience, education, and certifications.
  • 10+ years in manufacturing with deep hands-on knowledge of CNC machinery, PLCs, and process equipment; senior profiles may be leveled higher.
  • Strength in root cause analysis; experience with AutoCAD or Siemens NX drafting preferred.
  • Professional English, strong interpersonal presence, and the ability to present comfortably to all levels.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (10%).
