Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating HAAS CNC equipment including lathes, VF3 and VF4 vertical mills, and the EC1600 5-axis horizontal mill. Candidates must have a solid understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), blueprint reading, and precision measuring techniques.
This position offers the opportunity to cross-train in other areas of our shop such as press brake operations and powder coating when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate HAAS CNC lathes, vertical mills (VF3, VF4), and 5-axis horizontal mills (EC1600).
- Interpret blueprints and GD&T symbols to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
- Maintain tight tolerances and consistent quality within a job shop environment.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with other team members to meet production deadlines.
- Cross-train and assist in press brake departments as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of CNC machining experience (HAAS preferred).
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
- Ability to set up and run CNC machines independently.
- Experience working in a job shop with a variety of materials and short-run parts.
- Willingness to cross-train in press brake and powder coating operations.
- High attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
