GSE Dynamics, Inc., a full-service engineering and manufacturing company located in Hauppauge, NY, is seeking a CNC Machinist for our Machine Shop.
Duties include:
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
- Set up and prepare CNC machines for operation, including loading materials, selecting appropriate tooling.
- Operate and monitor machine operations to ensure parts are produced according to quality standards and specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications.
- Make adjustments to machine settings and tooling as necessary to maintain quality and accuracy.
- Troubleshoot issues with machines, tooling, or programs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC machines, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn components.
- Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and other team members to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of CNC machining processes
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code.
- Familiarity with CNC machine operation and setup procedures.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certification or apprenticeship in machining preferred
- Minimum of 1 – 3 years of experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- U.S. Citizen
- Fluent in English
Salary Range: $22.00 per hour - $32.00 per hour
This is an estimated salary range with any actual compensation offers to be dependent upon factors including experience, skill set, qualifications, and other factors allowed by law.
