TradeWorx is currently hiring an Advanced CNC Machinist for a high-performance cutting tool manufacturing facility. This role requires strong 5-Axis machining experience, deep programming knowledge, and advanced troubleshooting capability. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with long-term growth into leadership.

Location: Mentor, OH
Position Type: Temp-to-Perm (600 Hours)

Pay & Overtime:
  • Pay: $32.00 –$37.00 per hour (based on experience)
  • Overtime: Flexible as needed
  • Schedule: 40+ hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform multiple daily setups on CNC 5-Axis mills with Okuma OSP controls
  • Program, edit, and optimize machining processes (Mastercam, SolidWorks, and related CAM software)
  • Adjust feeds, speeds, tooling paths, and offsets to maximize efficiency and tool life
  • Troubleshoot complex technical, tooling, and fixture issues to improve production flow
  • Interpret work orders, blueprints, engineering drawings, materials, and specifications
  • Apply advanced GD&T, blueprint reading, and shop math in tight-tolerance environments
  • Inspect own work using precision measuring instruments to ensure quality standards
  • Support and mentor other machinists with setup, operation, and problem resolution
Requirements:
  • Advanced-level CNC machining experience
  • 5-Axis mill experience required
  • Strong hands-on experience with Okuma OSP controls
  • Proven programming capability (CAM software required)
  • Ability to independently optimize machining parameters
  • Experience in tight-tolerance manufacturing environments
  • Background check required

  • NIMS Certification
  • Okuma OSP Control Training
  • 5-Axis Programming Certification
  • GD&T Certification
  • Formal machining schooling
