Description:\n \nYou will be the CNC Machinist / GD&T for the Machining Operations Center (MOC). Our team is responsible for ultra\u2011precision machining, paint and plate operations, precision assembly, and the development and production of complex machined components.\n \nWhat You Will Be Doing\n \nAs the CNC Machinist / GD&T you will set up and operate a variety of manual, CNC and grinding machines, interpret blueprints (including GD&T), and fabricate complex parts to exacting tolerances.\u202fYou will also suggest producibility improvements, calibrate tools, and ensure every component meets specifications.\n \nYour responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:\n\n Set up and run manual and CNC machines for drilling, boring, milling, and turning of metal, exotic non\u2011metallic and composite materials.\n Operate grinding equipment to form, sharpen and finish cutters, drills and other tooling.\n Read and apply engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications to fabricate complex parts.\n Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, CMMs) to verify dimensions and surface finish.\n Propose design or process changes that enhance manufacturability and reduce cycle time.\n \nWhy Join Us\n \nDo you want to be part of a company culture that encourages employees to build their career, apply their knowledge while using cutting\u2011edge technology, and achieve challenging goals? Discover more about our Orlando, Florida location.\n \nMUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.\n \nBasic Qualifications:\n\n Experience with precision machining, measuring, and set up skills on Manual and N/C (Numerical Control) machine tools.\n Experience with one or more of the following:\n interpretation and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)\n American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and military specifications.\n Must have the ability to work first, second, or third shift in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.\n Due to facility requirements, all candidates must be U.S. citizens\n \nDesired Skills:\n\n At least 3 years' related experience\n Technical training, recognized journeyman apprenticeship, programming and more than 7 years experience in setting up, operating and N/C programming.\n \nSpecifically:\n \nPrecision multi (4-5) axis Millturn\n \nPrecision multi (4-5) axis Milling\n \nJig Bore\n \nIntegrex Mazak Millturn\n \nFanuc controls\n \nMazak controls\n\n Experience with ID/OD grinding and / or centerless grinding and the ability to hold close tolerances.\n Set up and operation of various types grinding machines to form, sharpen, and grind cutters and drills.\n Experience with running an electrical discharge machine (EDM), wire and / or sinker. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
