Job description:

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with Fanuc expertise to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming and machining processes, with the ability to operate CNC lathes and milling machines. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of mechanical principles to produce high-quality components that meet strict specifications. 2nd shift opening

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes and milling machines, to manufacture parts according to specifications.
  • Interpret and read blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to determine machining requirements.
  • Perform CNC programming and CAM programming for various machining operations.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to ensure accuracy of machined parts.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and tools to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards in manufacturing processes.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and lean manufacturing principles while maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Assist in assembly processes as needed and support the production team with various tasks.

Skills

  • Proficient in CNC programming and operation of CNC milling machines and lathes.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in machining processes including electrical discharge machining and plastics injection molding.
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks, CAD software, and CAM programming tools.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
  • Basic math skills for calculations related to machining dimensions and tolerances.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines.
  • Knowledge of tooling techniques and hand tools relevant to machining tasks.
  • Familiarity with welding processes is a plus.
