We are seeking a 3rd shift CNC Machinist in Chicopee, MA.
JOB SUMMARY
The CNC Machinist performs turning, milling, drilling, and threading on turbomachinery components to meet quality standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Operate and monitor CNC machines for proper function.
- Conduct in-process inspections and document results.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping.
- Adjust machines for changeovers and different production needs.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years CNC operator experience.
- Skills in manual machines, band saws, measuring tools, reading blueprints, and problem-solving.
- Strong hand-eye coordination, positive attitude, and ability to multi-task.
- Knowledge of safe machine practices.
OTHER INFORMATION:
- Full-time in Chicopee, MA, with evening/weekend shifts as needed.
- Proficient English skills, legal work status, pass drug, physical, and background checks.
- Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs., stand, walk, climb, and handle repetitive motions.
- Work involves exposure to moving parts, moderate noise, and metal particles.
