Position Overview
Pioneer Machine & Technology is a growing precision machining job shop seeking an experienced CNC machinist to join our team.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can set up, program, and run CNC lathes and/or mills from print to completion with minimal supervision.
We specialize in short-run and custom work, not repetitive production.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, program, and operate CNC lathes and/or mills
- Read and interpret blueprints and part drawings
- Perform complete setups (jaws, vises, tooling, offsets)
- Hold tight tolerances across a variety of materials
- Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Work independently and manage changing priorities
Equipment & Programming
- ProtoTRAK conversational controls
- Fanuc, Annilam, and other G&M code controls
- AutoCAD and FeatureCAM (as applicable)
Qualifications
- Experience programming at the machine (G-code, conversational, or both)
- Strong setup and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced job shop environment
- Comfortable switching between short-run jobs
- Self-motivated and dependable

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive pay based on experience $20-$30/hour)

- Day shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
