CNC Lathe / Mill Machinist – Precision Job Shop

Position Overview

Pioneer Machine & Technology is a growing precision machining job shop seeking an experienced CNC machinist to join our team.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can set up, program, and run CNC lathes and/or mills from print to completion with minimal supervision.

We specialize in short-run and custom work, not repetitive production.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate CNC lathes and/or mills
• Read and interpret blueprints and part drawings
• Perform complete setups (jaws, vises, tooling, offsets)
• Hold tight tolerances across a variety of materials
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
• Work independently and manage changing priorities

Equipment & Programming

• ProtoTRAK conversational controls
• Fanuc, Annilam, and other G&M code controls
• AutoCAD and FeatureCAM (as applicable)

Qualifications

• Experience programming at the machine (G-code, conversational, or both)
• Strong setup and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced job shop environment
• Comfortable switching between short-run jobs
• Self-motivated and dependable

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive pay based on experience $20-$30/hour)

• Day shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
