Job Duties

• Performs all assigned machine shop operations
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designee
• Follows tag system, quality procedures, and completes all relevant in-process inspection forms
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures
• Performs inspection of machined products, and documents results
• Completes and maintains paperwork for parts
• Understands all blueprint/operation drawing features before cutting chips
• Understands job quotas established in router or as instructed
• Ensures all gauges used are calibrated and in good working order
• Use of overhead crane for loading and unloading parts into machine
• Perform general maintenance on machine such as changing coolant, oils, and other lubricants
• Carry out all other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma OR 5-7 years CNC Machine Operator experience
• Mechanical aptitude
• Willing to learn to become proficient in operating applicable equipment
• Good attitude
• Quality oriented

What You Will Do

As a CNC Lathe Machine Operator you will set up, operate, monitor, and adjust CNC machining equipment to manufacture precision components according to engineering specifications. You will verify machine setups, inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments, troubleshoot machining issues, maintain tooling, and support quality and production goals while following established safety and manufacturing procedures.

A CNC Lathe Machine Operator produces precision parts through the operation of advanced CNC machining equipment. This role requires technical knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain accuracy throughout every stage of the machining process.

The CNC Lathe Machine Operator combines blueprint interpretation, machine setup, tooling knowledge, and precision inspection techniques to manufacture quality components. Successful candidates understand the importance of consistency, safety, and attention to detail.
