Overview
We're hiring CNC Laser Cutter Technicians for our architectural metal fabrication shop in Nashville.
You'll set up and run CNC flat lasers — Amada, Trumpf, and Bystronic — cutting aluminum, steel, and stainless sheet into components for architectural facades. You'll load programs at the controller, set focal points and assist gas for the material and thickness, and inspect first articles against engineering blueprints before the batch runs.
Profiles encouraged to apply: CNC machine operators, flat laser operators, sheet metal fabricators, and tradespeople who have moved sheet metal with cranes or forklifts.

Responsibilities
Setups: Set up CNC flat lasers for each material and thickness.
Machine Operation: Run the laser and watch for burrs or edge defects.
Blueprint Reading: Work from engineering blueprints and dimensional tolerances.
Program Handling: Upload digital cut files into the CNC controller.
Inspection: Perform first article inspections with calipers and tape measures.
Material Handling: Load sheet with forklifts, cranes, or suction lifters.
Parts Handoff: Label and stage finished parts for the press brakes.
Preventive Maintenance: Clean machine slats and check lens wear routinely.

Qualifications
Required
High school diploma or GED
Read mechanical drawings and engineering blueprints
Work from digital cut files
Use tape measures and digital calipers
Lift and move materials up to 50 lbs
Stand for extended periods and repeat tasks
Spot edge defects on cut parts
Preferred
Experience on any CNC flat laser: TRUMPF, Bystronic, Amada, Mazak, Laguna, Prima Power, Salvagnini, Mitsubishi, or LVD
